Sergio Reguilon is an attacking left-back who played for
Sevilla on Loan in 2019-20 season. His parent club Real Madrid is ready to
offload him to cash in money. Sevilla and Manchester United were in talks for
his permanent transfer. But, Sevilla has gone with other option due to high
transfer fees.
Manchester United is heavily linked for his transfer away from Real Madrid. His fee could be in the range of 25 million pounds. Real Madrid wants a buy-back clause whereas Manchester United disagree on any such clause. The player is positive and is looking forward to joining the Red Devils.
But, there was a late drama to the Sergio Reguilon transfer. Tottenham Hotspur was not only ready to give 30 million but also included the buy-back clause for his transfer. Real Madrid had a win-win situation and now the player is joining Tottenham Hotspur.

forward in the final third. At Sevilla, he often positioned as a left-winger using

How Sergio Reguilon Would Have Transformed Rashford?
Luke Shaw is not a top-level dribbler, and Sergio Reguilon will
instantly improve the offensive game of Manchester United. His ability will
free Marcus Rashford on the left blank. Rashford can move inside and score his
trademark goals.
Marcus Rashford scored 20+ goals in 2019-20 season. Most of
his goals were individual quality. With a good left-back, he can excel his form
and score more than 30 goals in the upcoming season.
When Opposition stands deep, Manchester United struggles to
progress the ball from middle to final third. This was evident in the last few
matches of Manchester United season 2019-20. In the Europa League semifinal between
Manchester United and Sevilla, Sergio made an overlapping run from the left
side assisting the first goal.
As an offensive left-back, he created 1.5 key passes per 90
minutes. His ability to slide the ball across the six-yard box gives him an edge.
Apart from his offensive ability, he is solid defensively as well. He is a good
one-on-one defender making 1.9 interceptions per 90 minutes. He also has 1.65
tackles per 90 minutes under his name.
Luke Shaw does outscore Sergio in defensive ability. His

team have two brilliant left-backs.

Old Trafford

plays 4-2-3-1 and 3-5-2 system. Sergio Reguilon will shine in 4-2-3-1 system
whereas Luke Shaw in 3-5-2 system.
