After a gap of 32 days, Manchester United will play their first competitive game in Premier League. Manchester United will kick off their Premier League campaign on 19th September 2020 against Crystal Palace. Host Manchester United will welcome Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Manchester United finished 3rd in Premier League table with 66 points achieving the Champions League football. Crystal Palace finished 14th in the Premier League table with 43 points in the bottom half of the table.

Manchester United signed Donny Van de Beek up till now. Crystal Palace signed Eberechi Eze and grabbed Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea. Relatively, Manchester United had a very quiet transfer window.

Manchester United was provided with an extra week rest due to qualification in semi-finals of Europa League. Crystal Palace kicked off their campaign last week with a scintillating win against Southampton. Wilfred Zaha, ex-Manchester United player scored the only goal. Palace drew with Bournemouth mid-week in Carabao Cup (EFL) and eventually lost on Penalties.

Manchester United played the only pre-season match against Aston Villa ending in defeat.

The hosts, Manchester United will be favourites to win the game. But Crystal Palace will remember the win at Old Trafford last season. The only time Crystal Palace crushed Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Crystal Palace players will be fitter compared to Manchester United.
